I bought this 150cc scooter off of ebay and its supose to go 60 mph. i topped it off with engine oil today and it runs and everything but as soon as i reach like 30 mph the motor bogs down and wont go any faster. is it because the engine is brand new? do i need to break it in or what. i put like 18 miles on it today and there was one single time where the scooter actually kicked in and went about 55-60 mph. can someone help me or tell me why this is?

I am Phillip Miller an Independent Amsoil dealer. This video will introduce you to some common products intended to give you the best performance out of your daily driven car. The PI gas additive helps to remove fuel system deposits in your engine and boost efficiency, it is recommended every 4000 miles. I use the engine flush to dissolve sludge and varnish deposits before draining the old engine oil. This practice will also prolong the life of your engine by removing deposits left behind from burnt oil. I suggest a premium synthetic oil such as Amsoil, this video suggests 5w30 and my preference is the SAE 30 diesel oil (also available in a small engine formula). Many people prefer the XL series because it is recommended for six months or 7500 miles. All these products save me time and money on maintenance costs over the duration of a year. I also believe Amsoil products reduce the time my car is in the shop for normal repairs. You can get more information and order the products here: www.lubedealer.com

Im getting a 98 corolla off my friend. He says that the engine leaks oil and needs to be filled every 4-5 days. The car hasnt been used for 6 months. So i need to jump start the battery, and i need to add engine oil and fuel to get it to start. The problem is i know nothing about cars. I have a jug of 1L of 10W-30 Motor oil (it says recommended for cars under 80kkm)
My question is engine oil is the motor oil right? and i know the oil i have is not recommended for a 250kkm car… but will it still work? it wont help the car in anyway but i dont think it’ll cause much damage temporarily? my main concern is will this oil work?

hi! I have my first engine oil and filter changed at 950km, currently the odometer shows 2900km, plan to change the oil again, is it necessary? if refering to the owners manual, at the first 1000km you will need to change the oil, and the second time is at 7500km wtf. I seen some people change at 2500km or 3000km.

people say Motul is the best, I plan to use fully synthetic. All i wanted is a smooth gear shifting and clutch control, and of course more power lol

btw should i change the filter also?

I used to stop motorcycle by pulling clutch and pressing rear brake. This make rear tyre to slip often, then my friend told me not to pull the clutch and directly press the rear brake and when it stops then pull clutch and downshift the gear. Is this method right? I tried it and really it don’t allow rear tyre to slip, I am able to stop at over 50kmph without slipping the tyre. But I have question, does this harm engine? I change engine oil in 6000km which is recommended by manufacturer.

I had my engine oil changed and put in some Slick 50 engine treatment in also. (I have used Slick 50 many times before and never had a problem with it so, I don’t think it’s the Slick 50). I think it is the oil that was put in.
I have a 2001 Cadillac Seville and the car always had regular oil in it. It has 50,000 miles on it. This time I used a synthetic oil at the change (I don’t know if I should have used a synthetic oil).
The oil display on the dash reads 53% were it would read 98% after the oil change. What do you think caused the lower oil reading?

I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 with 220,000 miles. I was wondering the difference between the motor oil that says 10W-30 High Mileage Engine oil, 10W-30 Full Synthetic, and the 10W-40 conventional oil. I have heard the stories on how Synthetic oil only helps under severe climate conditions and cold starts. Can I get some help

The motorcycle just stopped as I was idling, then ran down the battery trying to start it back up, but the engine doesn’t seem to be turning over and the kick-starter is pretty much jammed. Kick started many times recently, so it’s not a broken spring. I’m thinking it must be engine oil, no?
Will adding oil now possibly fix it? I have yet to try.
thank you polarbear for your intolerant response. I added engine oil and it started right up.

Hi, everyone. I’m going to be looking for oil for my 150cc scooter tomorrow, and all I know is I need to find motorcycle oil 10w-40.

Does anyone have any information on what the difference is between engine oil and motor oil for scooters, and what is appropriate for scooters, synthetic oil? What is synthetic oil exactly and should I purchase that or a normal one?

Last Question: I have a 150cc Velocity scooter, what kind of transmission oil, or gear oil should I purchase? I read the manual but found no information on this.

                            Thanks!
