hey i have a 01 dodge ram sport 5.2 the motor has a knock oil pump went i got a new oil pump and im getting my taxes back dont know what to do motor wise i was thinking about buying a hemi and a hemi trans and puting that in but i dont know what the labor cost would be or what all i would need to do to to it i was also thinking about makeing a 390 stroker out of it but i dont know what the mpg would be around with the 318 now im only getting 12 mabe 13 with 160000 on the motor or i could get a 360 and put that in can anyone tell me what would be the best thing to do the truck has a 3 inch bod lift and 35 inch tires trying to get aleast 15 or 16 highway can anyone help me out
i have a 1999 Dodge Intrepid with a 2.7L V6 and i have read on the internet that a lot of these engines have failed due to oil sludge build up.
i have noticed that my car takes a lot more oil then it should, and i can’t help but think that the reason its taking more oil is because its building up sludge.
if i switch to a full synthetic will this stop build up of engine sludge and possible get rid of existing sludge.
I also want to know if there’s anything i should do before i change over to synthetic, like buy some sort of flush or something like that

Why I losing motor oil when there is no leaks or no sing of oil burning ? On Friday I went to check the engine to make sure everything is fine normal routine in when I went to see the motor oil dip stick it was clear empty it had a little oil left but not much in there is no sing of oil leaks or burning oil or no warning light on the dash, as you know if you had own or driving a dodge durango, dakota ram truck from 1998-2001 the oil gage on the dash is always moving back in forward it doesnt stay still so it very hard to tell if you had oil on your engine. Because my oil gage pressure never drop to 0 the lower it drop is to 40 then it keep moving back in four to his normal position. It got a new oil pump done in 2008 any suggest on this problem?
