This would normally result in losing over 0 in oil to replace a plug. If this has happened to you, the shop-vac method will save the day. With the engine off, hook the shop-vac hose to the oil fill tube, turn the shop vac on, and the oil plug can easily be removed without losing a single drop of oil! It is that simple and will work with all makes/models of trucks and cars. I heard that Mobil1 Full Synthetic Oil was good and my friends at work has recommended it. It’s recommeded on the Acura RDX. I have tried many different oil including the Castrol GTX oil. So I though I do a conversion video to Mobil1 oil and give you an impression what I found. I will also demonstrate how I have change oil in my Acura as well. I have drain the Castrol GTX oil and replaced it with Mobil1 Full Synthetic Motor Oil. The oil looks like the regular oil but it protects the engine better. In short this Mobil1 rocks. I’m not going back to dyno oil. I didn’t go out to spend lots of $$$ but I think Mobil1 was definitely the best value in my area. See video on my findings.

However, for situations where that is not the case, there are three things car owners can do to determine when it’s time to drain that old oil and add new, including checking the mileage and time passed since the last oil change, looking at the color of the oil in the engine and feeling the oil to determine its texture.www.youtube.com Step 1: Check Mileage and Time Since Last Oil Change ——————————————————————— While basic rules of thumb apply to mileage and time that should go by between oil changes, these rules will vary based on the type of oil in the car. For conventional, crude oil, get an oil change after 3000 to 5000 miles or three month’s time, whichever comes first.
