The C3′s manual says to NOT use any energy conserving motor oil. I had been using Amsoil’s motorcycle version of their 10W40 synthetic, but even being synthetic it just wouldn’t start too well in the cold. So…. I thought…. well any oil resulting in 40 weight isn’t energy conserving EVEN if it’s cold start winter rating is only 5. So I went ahead and put in the Castrol 5W40 syntec [synthetic] and it starts right up with no hesitation. The manual doesn’t list a 5W [winter] rating viscosity BUT through eveidence it works just fine. Heck it has so litle friction… the oil is so slick that it takes quite awhile for it to warm up!

I recently bought a 1984 suzuki RM 125 dirt bike, although owner told me engine was a 86". I was wondering if anyone had any recomendations for engine oil and trans. oil. The engine is a 2-stroke liquid cooled with a wet clutch. Alot of people have reccomended using full synthetic for the trans. but im afraid that could cause clutch/gear slip? Im thinking on finding a name brand 80 wt. 10w 40 possibly ATF or amsoil for 2-stroke. Also wondering if anyone knows correct gas/oil mixture for these bikes? thinking 32-35 – 1 gal. any help or reccomendations would be appreciated. thanks

This is a nice long in car video made with the GoPro Hero HD Motorsport camera. I had to go to DHL to pick up my Amsoil order so I thought I’d bring you guys for a ride, and at the same time demonstrate my traction issues while rolling at 25mph, 30mph and 40mph in both 2nd and 3rd gears.
