I’m looking to improve the performance and economy of my vehicle and I understand that using fuel additives and oil additives can help me achieve this, however which do I use? Should I use both oil and fuel additives or is one more important than the other. Also can engine oil make a difference? I’ve been told by a friend that engine wear can be reduced by using good quality engine oil, which then leads me onto using either synthetic or mineral based oil. I’m a bit lost with all these different types of oil. Any help will be most appreciated.
Thanks

Racing legend Bobby Unser dominated the grueling annual road race Colorado’s Pikes Peak Hill Climb for over a decade. The biggest problem Unser had with his car was the transmission – the rear end would keep failing after just a single day. The video explains how a change of oil brand to Amsoil significantly improved durability of the transmission.

Believe that "all oils are the same" if you want to but AMSOIL has the proof in side by side comparisons. Once you use AMSOIL, you’ll know that not all oils are the same.

Sorry, wasn’t meant to be a "spam message" for AMSOIL. Was meant to let people know that there IS something else out there that really works. Increases MPG, lowers operating teperatures and engine noise, smoother shifting, and $$$ savings ( with higher MPG and increased drain intervals ). As for who conducted the testing, I tend to agree with your argument regarding bias but, the study results were validated and conducted under ASTM standards. Also, AMSOIL did NOT score best in ALL categories ( which would really indicate slanted results ) but, did score best overall. Bottom line is; you can read and ask and research all you want but, when you try it for yourself and experience the results for yourself, the difference is obvious. I for one have tried the others, including Mobil 1 and now won’t use anything but AMSOIL, in my car, truck, motorcycle, lawn tractor, chainsaw and grass trimmer. — Just My Honest Opinion ( JMHO ), make of it as you wish.
Well, you can believe whayt you want about "having the same qualities as any motorcycle oil" if you want to but, do you really believe that Mobil 1 is or a quart for 20W50 Vtwin motorcycle oil and AMSOIL is a quart for no reason ? If you want to compare Apples to Apples, then do so. The oil that youre referring to at WalMart is AUTOMOTIVE 10W30 or 5W30 oil ( they don’t sell motorcycle specific oil in 5 quart bottles ) , if thats what you use in YOUR bike then compare AMSOIL 5W30 or 10W30 AUTOMOTIVE oil to it at .75 a quart or get a 2-1/2 gallon tote for .65 ( .36 / quart ). More expensive ? Sure it is because you get what you pay for. You want "Good" oil or do you want the "Best" oil ? Don’t bash a product because of what you read on the shelf at WalMart because for everything that you read at WalMart or on the Mobil 1 bottle, AMSOIL has laboratory proof that their product is superior. If you can’t or wont read it then use and believe what you want.
Read the white paper study of ALL oils ( including Royal Purple and Mobil 1 ) or, speak from personal experience before making a statement about how good a product is or isn’t. If Mobil 1 is so good or, Royal Purple, or Castrol or any of the others, why is it that THEY don’t publish evidence to dispute AMSOILs test results …. Because they can’t. "Sterling Reputation" based on the idea that people won’t look past the shelf at WalMart.
Also, to correct another incorrect statement by "Mycle1000" ( as the rest of his statement ) "Mobil 1 has been around a long time …." I personally can’t find any information about how long Mobil 1 has been on the market but, I know it hasn’t been around since 1972 ( as AMSOIL has ). Mobil 1 has just recently ( within the last few years ) developed and "extended drain interval formula ( which of course is more expensive ) of 15,000 miles. Again, AMSOIL has ALWAYS offered an "extended drain interval".
