Corvette C5 Dyno Test with ENEOS Oil
PowerTV dyno tested Corvette C5 using ENEOS oil and the “Leading Synthetic Oil.” ENEOS outperformed the “Leading Synthetic” by making extra 8 horsepower. www.lsxtv.com

Too bad you didn’t test the same weight oils to begin with. 5w-30 or 10w-30 is what the factory recommends but you guys used 0w-50.
Different viscosity will make different amount of horsepower…
Thats because only Eneos makes 0w50..
you know when you hear a fucking brit they are pitching some shit…shamwow
You obviously dont know the the difference from a brit and an aussie accent.,
no difference…both a bunch of pussys.
I’m gonna buy a case of ENEOS 0W-50 and get my 8hp.
i dont really care about the 8 hp…as long as it keeps my bearings cool at 150 and dosnt chew them up im good…and i dont think ther the only ones who make straight 50w
Arai4lpinestars – What kind of car do you have? A XW-50 motor oil used in an engine designed for a lighter viscosity oil can cause engine damage, voiding the warranty.
lexuspartsdude – A 0W-50 oil have comparatively large amounts of viscosity index improvers in the oil, to take it from 0W to an SAE 50 when hot. The more the viscosity index improver, the less total lubrication available. Not good.
@JohnQuincyAdams1 damage my oil pump? I dont think so. My car is 09 with 100hp per liter N/A and stamped 5W-30 on the oil cap. Changed it to Eneos 0W-50 and took it to the track next day.
@Arai4lpinestars – I never said anything about damaging the oil pump. I did say that using an oil that thick can cause engine damage and void the warranty. An oil that comparatively thick will also increase internal engine drag, reducing power and fuel economy.
@bentboybbz – They don’t make a straight 50W and even if they did, you wouldn’t want that…stuff…in your engine.
